Florida Intergenerational Orchestra is proud to present “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” Holiday Concert on December 8, 2024!

Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a heartwarming performance that celebrates the joy, spirit, and timeless melodies of the holidays. The Florida Intergenerational Orchestra (FLIOA) under direction of Founder, Lorraine Marks Field is proud to present “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” a festive concert featuring an extraordinary ensemble of musicians spanning multiple generations.

This enchanting concert will take place at O’Shea Hall at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Boca Raton. Doors open at 2:30 pm. With a unique blend of youth, adult, and senior musicians, FLIOA creates an inclusive atmosphere that showcases the talent and diversity of our community. Under the direction of Founder, Lorraine Marks Field, the orchestra will perform a variety of beloved holiday classics, from traditional carols to contemporary festive hits, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The concert will also feature a special visit from Santa as well as an original song written by Bob Field, sung by soprano Roselida Mautner, and scored for the orchestra by esteemed conductor and arranger Peter Fuchs. We’ll even have wonderful Shakespearian actor and former star of “As the World Turns” Peter Galvin, who will be narrating “The Night Before Christmas.” It will feature students from the Children's House Montessori School singing holiday tunes with Vince Zabik. Violinist James Gaskill will perform “Winter” from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.  Other Holiday favorites include White Christmas, Christmas Waltz, Chanukah Oh Chanukah, and Sleigh Ride.
