Our Veterans know what it is like to fight for Freedom. The same is now true of each and every Ukrainian. This event honors those heroes and will raise money to be sent directly to Ukrainians in urgent need of our help and support, right now!
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #9610 and the American Legion proudly sponsor this fundraising event that will offer Ukrainian food, art and music at the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton, Florida on May 21st (Armed Forces Day) from 2-11 pm.

The 4 key fundraising goals are these:
Kyiv Angels are a small group of Volunteers who go from building to building in Kyiv and the surrounding towns to find mobility-challenged elderly who were left behind by refugees running for their lives. There is a long list of needed items, and they purchase and distribute them by themselves, so our donors will see the results of their donations, almost immediately and potentially even during the show.
We found a group that also rescues animals who were abandoned by the evacuation
There are farmers trying to plant who have broken equipment. I have a list of their needs as well and we can show the results of donations directly as well.
Civilians can't buy military equipment. I have friends (civilians) in Ukraine who need body armor. We can buy the plates, though and they can sew vests at their factory. I would like to collect for them as well.
We will feature videos and maybe even live reports (there is a 7-hour time difference) with the actual people who will take your donations and make them work for Ukrainians. We will also have Ukrainian musicians record songs or play live at the event via streaming. We hope to build a short, but poignant bridge between our people.
KISS Alive…The Tribute is a very talented foursome, who dress up, look and play just like the band KISS. Erasmith, is an Aerosmith cover band, that can cover the gamut of songs that Vets are likely to select. Classic rockers Shovelhed will be on hand, and their talent and energy will radiate quickly through all who come. An AC/DC Cover Band called Shoot to Thrill will be there and Daytona Dave will join in as well. The West Boca High School Performing Arts Academy will feature some songs for Heroes and there may be some surprise shout outs and performances as well.

Spend an entertaining afternoon honoring those who fought before and those fighting now for our Freedom, and help us ensure the wounded, disabled the elderly and all those animals have the support they need.
